Jingjing Qian has been with the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since 2002 and is currently the Deputy Director of its China Program. Before moving to Beijing in late 2008 to manage NRDC’s Beijing Office, she worked in NRDC’s New York Office on issues related to coal, carbon capture and storage, biofuel, clean vehicle and urban development in China. She continues directing projects concerning advanced energy technologies and urban smart growth. Prior to joining NRDC, JingJing worked in two United Nations organizations for eight years, and in China, coordinating and managing various environmental projects. She holds a master’s degree in environmental technology from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London and a master’s of engineering degree from California State Polytechnic University at Pomona.
